Nested in 150 acres of ring fenced land in rolling Somerset hills. Candletrees offers retirement, turnaway and youngstock livery,
We have two retirement herds, one mares & one geldings, with a maximum of 16 horses per herd. Ranging over 30 acres per herd.
We also provide specialist retirement & youngstock livery packages. These range from 24/7 turn out to dedicated barn livery options with daily turn in and out.

I’ve had my 26yr old gelding on retirement livery at Candletrees since March this year. I’ve never seen him so happy, since he retired and couldn’t recommend this yard enough. Kate So Gizmo is a very happy boy turned away at CandleTrees Equestrian living the good life! He’ll have a break for a year or two until I’ve finished studying my Masters in Psychology and retraining to be a Counsellor. One day I’d like to train in LEAP and Gizmo would be a therapy horse to help others. He gives the best cuddles!

Having moved several times over the last 6 years with 2 horses, we have had experienced several yards. Having found CandleTrees nestled in a valley with stunning views, this 150 acre farms offers all year turnout, larger than average stabling, fantastic schooling facilities and hacking on the land. It’s the first time I have seen the horses as relaxed and content as they are currently. I very much believe horses should have space to run free all year and I thank Tracey for looking after them with such a calm manner kindness. It is rare to find such a hidden gem with an welfare focused ethos . Thank you.
